Divorce and Dating Club – How To Reject Someone Online Properly

Dating online gives you a great opportunity to meet and interact with many people compared to traditional dating. However, it may require a different approach to resolve certain issues under certain circumstances. You need to know how to reject someone online appropriately. Remember that having good manners and being polite are important qualities online.

Be firm. You need to deliver the proper message to the other person. You need to be honest and clear when rejecting someone online. You need to do this so that the person can easily tell that you are serious just by reading your message. If you sound unsure this leaves it open to further contact. You need to send an email and tell the person straight that you are not interested. Be firm but don’t be impolite.

Be polite. Everyone, including the online community, appreciates someone who has good manners and who is polite. Talking with people through emails and instant messaging services is not an excuse to be rude. You still have to consider the feelings of others even when you do not know each other in person. You can be honest and be gracious with your words at the same time. If you are not interested in taking the relationship further, you should make the person feel that you have enjoyed their company. You need to state that you need to move on and continue your search for a better match.

Taking time to send a proper email. You can tell the person through a phone call if you have already exchanged phone numbers. If not, you should do it by sending an email. In fact, it is better not to reject or break up with someone you met online in person. It is always harder to deliver the news face to face and will only give yourself reasons not to even though it is the right thing to do.

Be calm. Telling someone who is persistent to leave you alone without being angry or irritable can be a hard thing to do. However, you need to avoid these negative emotions. You need to try to stay calm but firm. However, if someone is harassing you, you should just block or report them. Blocking and terminating someone from your list should be done right and only when extremely necessary.

Being in a situation where you need to say ‘no’ to someone can happen to anybody, including you. You need to learn how to deal with it properly to avoid getting into a more complicated situation.
